The Palazzo Ducale is the main monument of Urbino and one of the most significant examples of Italian Renaissance architecture. Commissioned by Federico da Montefeltro in the second half of the 15th century, the palace now houses the Galleria Nazionale delle Marche and the Museo del Lapidario.
