The Reial Monestir de Santes Creus is a royal Cistercian monastery founded in 1160, located in the Alt Camp region of Catalonia beside the Gaià river. Established by the Montcada and Cervelló lineages together with Count Ramon Berenguer IV, it became the center of one of the Crown of Aragon's most extensive monastic lordships until 1835.
